I went to confession today, and confessed impersonal, general things. After I was done, the priest did not comment on anything I confessed and gave me very personal advice that dealt with things I have been going through lately.  He said, "I don't know if that answers any of your questions, but from the sound of your voice, I thought this may be relative to you." I was not given any penance (prayers you say after confession), but was told to just sit near the alter for a few minutes, and relax.

how should i interpret that?

CONGRATULATIONS

TO

MICHELLE

AND

CAROL!!

First off, Michelle (my sister) just got news that she passed the BAR!!  so, she is officially a licensed professional (LAWYER!) i am extremely proud of her, because she studied her ass off, and the bar is no joke. she passed it on her first try!

second, Carol (my gf) just got accepted to Ernst & Young (THE COMPANY I WORK FOR). and no, she did not get the job from me directly. she just ROCKED the interviews. i helped her w/ the questions though, well, i told her what my mom told me to say when i interviewed. but what can i say.. she's a charmer. however this isnt exactly the industry she wants to work in, however 2nd or 3rd largest accounting company IN THE WORLD, one of the top 100 best companies to work for, her tuition will be paid for to attend one of the best public universities in the country.... this is just opening up the doors. corporate world, watch out for this one. ;)  she's actually going to get paid more than me. hey i wont complain.

So, let me tell you how wonderful my girlfriend is, and what she did...

in the past, i have done a few small surprises, like gifts and surprise visits. Carol has not been able to surprise me much because I either guess the surprise, or she eventually tells me.  however, she totally blew me out of the water this weekend. She did inform me that she was plotting something huge but wouldnt tell me what it was.

So this Saturday was Asian Occasion, a show AAA hosts at SUNY Albany, that I have heavily participated in the past 3 years. Well, I also had my CPA exam on saturday, and I was unsure that i would make it to the show. So, she was upset and told me that the surprise was going to be at AO, and that she wasn't going to do it because the surprise factor was ruined. So we went to the show, and she said brb. i thought nothing of it as the next performance was coming up. a piano performance from "Carolyn Yuen". Little, did I know, that it was Carol performing "Pachebel Canon D"  behind the projector that was showing a slide show. at first I didnt realize it was her playing. I thought she was just going to put on a slide show while a person was performing, or a simple announcement that she loves me.. something small but yet would have been special. instead, it said "You always wanted to hear me play the piano". So, here is some relevant background information. Carol and I first met at Asian Occasion in 2004. that is 2 years, and I have NEVER heard her play the piano. she told me she used to play a lot when she was little. in fact, she hasnt played the piano since she quit.. 7 years ago. oh 1 day i got a glimpse of a 3 second display in circuit city, but that was it. Also, she has stage fright and does not like to be the center of attention. So, the fact that she got up on stage (well she was behind the projector so no1 could see her, but it was supposed to raise up, but there were technical difficulties), then PRACTICED since august to play for me, was quite special. also, i was in the first row, center seat, just watching her play and a slide show of all these pictures that we took since we first met. needless to say, i went backstage when she was done to give her a hug, and I was just pouring down tears.

in addition, she put so much work into this, when many can say (if they knew what we've been through) I did not deserve this. i have moments, where it may seem that i can be a good boyfriend. unfortunately, i have many moments where I am not. i have made many mistakes, some very huge ones, that have threatened our relationship. even her friends, question why she is with me.  But, the fact that she did all this for me, shows she has not given up on me. that she still believes i can be better, and that OUR relationship can live up to its potential. I am still blown away, that I still can't believe she did it. also understanding, that i cant do anything to top that, but i shall certainly try.

carol, i just want to say thank you for the best present I could ever ask for. and

I LOVE YOU!
